It’s the first Monday of January. The day everyone has the most resolve, the highest hopes, the strongest passion. The day you want to set as an example for the rest of the year.
It could start with a great workout , a protein shake stuffed with spinach, some new clothes you got for Christmas, and a determination to get your life back on track.
We started with a plan for the day to get our paperwork organized and our home offices put together. However as life would have it, in the middle of our morning workout routines we got a text, the grand baby may be 10 days early.
Knowing we were on stand by we still went on our mission to organize our lives. A few hours later our winemaker friend asked if we could come and taste through some wine trials with her. So, putting everything on hold we drove to the winery and tasted through some blending.
After that we were all famished and went to lunch. Finally returning home to complete our task of organizing our paper work. Around 6 pm as we were just wrapping up the text came, they were on their way to the hospital.
Once again we hopped in the car for our journey from Sonoma to Sacramento.
We arrived at the hospital at 7:40 pm, Xochi Rose 👶🏻 was born at 7:29pm.
As I sit and ponder the day I realized a few things.
We can plan our lives all we want, but there will always be the curveballs. I actually like to call it life.
Life really does take you where it wants to. What I realized today is this, just go with it and trust the universe has your back. Somehow we managed to wake up, work out, eat healthy, clean and organize, spend precious time with a friend, and make it to see a new addition to the universe.
Trust the process
